Critically-acclaimed musician and songwriter Jamie Cullum has today announced he will be making his multi-million selling, 2003 album Twentysomething available on vinyl for the very first time on October 20th 2023 via Decca and Universal Music

Set to be re-issued exactly 20 years after it was first released (20th October 2003), this special 20th anniversary edition features the original album across three sides with a selection of non-album tracks, and session recordings on the fourth side, along with a bonus version of ‘Everlasting Love’, his 2004 UK No. 20 single, originally recorded for the Bridget Jones: The Edge of Reason film soundtrack.

Twentysomething peaked at No. 3 on the UK Album Chart, spending almost a year on the Top 75, and reached No. 83 on the US Billboard 200. On the specialist charts, it made No. 1 on the UK Official Jazz & Blues Album Chart, and No. 3 on Billboard’s Top Jazz Albums chart. The album has since sold over 3 million copies worldwide, with over 1 million sales in the UK (3 x BPI ‘Platinum’ Award), and holds the honour of being the fastest selling jazz album in chart history, with its sales in 2003 leading to Jamie being the UK’s highest selling jazz artist in history.

With continued success across Europe (IFPI Platinum Sales Award for 1 million sales in 2004) and in Australia and New Zealand, the album includes two of Jamie’s most streamed tracks, ‘What A Difference a Day Makes’ (14.7m streams in 2022) and ‘These Are The Days’ (8.8m streams in 2022), ensuring this 20th anniversary reissue is a must-have collectable for all fans of Jamie’s music.

On release, respected jazz critic John Fordham (writing in The Guardian) said, “Cullum’s virtues are a remarkable relaxation (which makes music-making, even in a sophisticated studio recording, sound like fun to him), a youthful bounce that makes his work engagingly airy and light, and a hipness of timing that marks him out from many of his competitors.”

With over 10 million album sales to date and his successful BBC Radio 2 show, Jamie Cullum is globally celebrated, meeting loyal fans wherever he goes. His legendary live shows have seen him work alongside artists as diverse as Herbie Hancock , Pharrell Williams, Kendrick Lamar and Lang Lang, whilst the success of his major label breakthrough, Twentysomething and its follow up Catching Tales saw him nominated for a BRIT, Grammy and numerous other awards around the world. He recently won the Ivor Novello award for best song musically and lyrically for his song “The Age of Anxiety” from his critically acclaimed album Taller.

In addition to his enduringly successful recording career, he has also established himself as a multi-award winning music broadcaster. He approaches all aspects of his career, as he has from the beginning, as both a fan and a student with seemingly boundless creativity and enthusiasm.
