“House Of Restitution” is de tweede single van Ledfoot’s nieuwe album “Coffin Nails” (cd+lp-release-datum: 27-1-2023)!

Al meer dan 20 jaar is de Amerikaanse gitarist/singersongwriter Tim Scott McConnell, aka Ledfoot, woonachtig in Noorwegen. In de jaren ‘70, ‘80 en ‘90 genoot hij vooral bekendheid als lid van The Rockats en The Havalinas. In die laatste hoedanigheid tourde hij in het voorprogramma van o.a. Chris Isaak, Crowded House en Bob Dylan (tijdens de Europese “No Mercy”-tournee). Als componist schreef hij vele tracks voor uiteenlopende acts, van TNT (rock) tot Sheena Easton (pop). Tim’s belangrijkste wapenfeit is zijn song “High Hopes”, die Bruce Springsteen opnam voor zijn gelijknamige album uit 2014.

In 2007 verscheen Tim’s album “The Devil’s Songbook” voor het eerst onder de naam Ledfoot; “I put together the different techniques from over 30 years of playing, combined a 12-string guitar with steel fingerpicks, a brass slide, open-tuning, very heavy strings and a stomp-box, mixing this with a dark lyrical and melodic sense and dubbing it ‘gothic blues’, a sound close to the murder ballad tradition”.

“Coffin Nails” is inmiddels zijn zesde Ledfoot-album en werd ook dit keer weer in Ronni Le Tekro’s Studio Nyhagen opgenomen. De mastering werd gedaan door Winter Lazerus. Het album bevat 10 nieuwe songs en zijn ‘in the spirit of the old blues tradition, all full-on analogue direct to tape recordings’; “This album was recorded and mixed in two days – live – no bullshit here – straight to tape – no edits, no punching in – just me – spitting my soul in the most naked and real setting possible – honest for better or worse – honesty – what a precious thing!”.
