Chalcedony released new single ‘Narcissista’ on Friday July 19th after an early exclusive premier on KSLG-FM on July 8th. ‘Narcissista’ is the darker, moodier, oh-so-telling follow-up to ‘Deactivate Me’ (which garnered Heavy Rotation on KSLG-FM). This is the second single leading up to a sophomore EP, slated to drop Spring 2025 on the trio’s very own DIY label imprint Aura Aurora Records.
Chalcedony is currently mixing the next two singles ‘Venus Thirst Trap’ and ‘It’s OK (i’m not okay)’ with producer Felix Fung at Little Red Sounds studio. The new line up, with new drummer Vanessa Gidden, will be heading back to the studio to record the rest of the EP tracks this Fall/Winter.
A music video for ‘Deactivate Me’ is coming soon, as the trio continue shooting the video for ‘Narcissista’ with director Vince Hemingson, which is set to come out this Fall. The trio will start shooting a video for third single ‘Venus Thirst Trap’ in August with Ray Maichin (photographer/videographer ~ Once More With Feeling).
The newly recalibrated trio are rehearsing a brand new set for a string of live shows this Fall/Winter. Shows include a date at The Fox Cabaret in Vancouver, BC on Saturday, August 24th. More shows to be announced soon including a date at Green Auto in October.
