People Ruin Paintings is de nieuwe single van Manic Street Preachers. De band beschrijft de track als “musically the three of us playing telepathically, referencing thirty plus years of playing together instinctively”. In augustus vorig jaar kwam de band na drie jaar terug met nieuwe muziek: hun single Decline & Fall volgde op hun UK #1-album The Ultra Vivid Lament uit 2021. In oktober volgde de single Hiding In Plain Sight. 

Op 31 januari komt hun nieuwe album Critical Thinking uit. Dat wordt het vijftiende studioalbum van de rockband uit Wales, die al sinds 1986 op het podium staat.
