The Japanese House is het muzikale project van de Britse singer-songwriter Amber Bain. In 2015 brak ze door met haar debuut EP Pools to Bathe In. Het daaropvolgende album Good At Falling werd enorm goed ontvangen en stond op meerdere eind-van-het-jaar lijstjes. Kenmerkend is Bain’s geluid en stijl die veelal bestaan uit elektronische beats en zachte gitaarklanken.

Op weg naar haar nieuwe album In The End It Always Does, dat op 30 juni verschijnt, verschenen al de singles Sad To Breathe en Boyhood. Sunshine Baby is de laatste in rij voor de release.

Over Sunshine Baby zegt Bain:
 “Sunshine Baby is my nickname for my dog, and my ex and I alway used to lay on the beach together being sunshine babies. The chorus is kind of a submission to the end of our relationship, but singing it in a positive light. There’s a transience in every part of a relationship, and in the circle of everything it comes back around.”
