De succesvolle Ierse post-rock band The Murder Capital brengt op 20 januari hun 2e studioalbum Gigi’s Recovery uit. Het is de opvolger van het ijzersterke debuutalbum When I Have Fears uit 2019, dat internationaal hoge ogen gooide en kon rekenen op louter lof.

In aanloop naar de nieuwe plaat heeft het vijftal uit Dublin inmiddels 3 singles uitgebracht. Namelijk Only Good Things, A Thousand Lives en Ethel. Afgelopen woensdag brachten ze nog de 4e single Return My Head uit.

Frontman James McGovern vertelt over de single: “Return My Head was written in a place of pure frustration, feeling like our sanity had been unwillingly removed through periods of isolation. All I wanted at this point was to get my head back, and to throw it away again. But on my own terms. ‘Return my head, and throw it to the crowd.’”
