Today Nick Mulvey announces the 10th Anniversary Edition of his Mercury Prize nominated debut solo album ‘First Mind’. Alongside the release, Mulvey is heading out on a five date tour, taking in Leeds, Glasgow, Manchester and Bristol before headlining the Eventim Apollo in London on 21st March.
‘First Mind’, originally released in 2014, was Mulvey’s first album after leaving Portico Quartet and was met with critical acclaim across the board, receiving 5 stars from The Telegraph and 4 stars from The Guardian. Featuring hit singles ‘Fever To The Form’ and ‘Cucurucu’, it firmly marked Mulvey out as one of the most talented musicians of his generation. To date, the album has over 290 million streams on Spotify.
Speaking about the release, Nick Mulvey says
“I’m delighted to celebrate 10 years of First Mind. The album changed my life and I’ve always been touched by the love it gets. The reissue has loads of unreleased gems, b-sides and off-cuts, and it’s been healing for me to review and choose these tracks. I’m particularly happy about including my cover of Taylor Swift’s “We Are Never Ever Getting Back Together”. At the shows we will trip together back to 2014 and sing the whole album through. I can’t wait”
The anniversary edition will be available to fans in three different formats, a 2LP coloured vinyl, 2CD, 1LP Zoetrope and a deluxe digital edition.
