After his successful adventures with Joey and John from Calexico which resulted in his Sinner’s Shrine album and the “best of the rest compilation” El Tiradito, Dean has moved his musical aspirations ovver to Italy. His Arizona recording friends told him to look up Don Antonio to see if working with him might work for his new plans.
And it worked: Dean and the Don hit it off and produced another epic (and can we say mystic) album The Spirit Ridge, that will be released in February. And as things go, once again Dean had to kill some of his darlings to create the best track listing possible. And since his songwriting is of such high standard there will always be great demo’s of songs that will or will not make it onto the actual album.
So, similar to the much in demand Desert Trilogy that lead up to the release of Sinner’s Shrine, Dean has selected 13 tracks to be released on 3 EPs as the Ridge Trilogy.
EP 1 was released digitally in July, the third EP will be released digitally in November. The second EP Ridgeline was released September 27.
