Today, London singer-songwriter Mychelle is proud to announce her highly anticipated album “Good Day”, set for release on April 30 via FAMM (Maverick Sabre/Jorja Smith), with the physical release date set for May 2nd. As a final preview before the album drops, she unveils her latest single, ‘Seasons’, a deeply personal track co-written with her best friend and produced by John Trainum.
Born from a moment of introspection, ‘Seasons’ took shape while Mychelle was on her way to play basketball, a recurring theme throughout the album, where inspiration strikes in transit. Feeling out of sorts that day, she began humming a melody, which later became the song’s foundation. Taking the rough idea into the studio, she built it from the ground up but struggled with the final verse. It wasn’t until her last recording session, while piecing everything together, that the missing lyrics suddenly came to her, bringing ‘Seasons’ to life.

Mychelle is gearing up for an exciting summer with “Good Day” just weeks away. She’ll join Jorja Smith on her UK tour and grace the stages of Cross The Tracks and Mad Cool Festival in Madrid, promising an unforgettable season of live performances.
Born and raised in Stoke Newington, London, Mychelle grew up in a home filled with music. The middle of three sisters, all drawn to singing and performing, she picked up a guitar at age 10, only to set it aside until 17, when she found her way back to it. Encouraged by mentors in school and university, she found an early kindred spirit in a close friend, forming her first girl group in her early years. Mychelle was driven to pursue music but had one obstacle to overcome: shyness. Instead of shying away, she chose the boldest path: busking. Her raw, soulful performances became part of London’s streets for over four years, turning the city into her training ground and stage. Then, one day at London Bridge, fate stepped in, and her talent caught the attention of FAMM, the label that would go on to sign her. The rest, as they say, is history.
Busking didn’t just refine Mychelle’s artistry; it became her rehearsal space, proving ground and the force that helped her shed her fears. As she steps into a new chapter, she remains deeply connected to everything that fuels her, whether on the football field, basketball court, running track, or, most importantly, the stage. A fierce competitor in music and life, Mychelle continues to push her boundaries, driven by the same fire that started it all.
Her journey has earned her support from The Metro, Evening Standard, Dork, and Clash, alongside airplay from DJ Target, Adele Roberts and Jamz Supernova. With a growing discography, including standout EPs like Closure (2021), Someone Who Knows (2022), It’s Not You, It’s Me (2023), and the stripped-back Me & Gaz (2024), Mychelle continues to carve out her space in the industry. Her collaboration with ENNY on “Forbidden Fruit” (from Someone Who Knows) remains a fan favourite with close to 2.5 million plays, proving that her storytelling and soulful delivery resonate deeply. Mychelle has graced stages at the Montreux Jazz Festival (CHE), George Ezra and Friends, Board-masters, Deershed, Into the Great Wild (NL) and Michael Kiwanukatour support. With a busy start to the year, including the recent releases of “Sweet Nothings” and “You Don’t Care About Me”,Mychelle is gearing up for an exciting summer. Beyond music, she embraces movement and adventure, bringing an ever-enthusiastic energy to everything she does.
“Good Day” marks a bold new chapter for Mychelle, showcasing her growth as an artist and her unwavering trust in herself and her music. It’s a testament to her evolution, both creatively and personally, as she fully embraces her artistry like never before.
